Tarmac / Imprinted concrete Sorry but we do NOT lay tarmac or imprinted concrete drives. The problem with tarmac and imprinted concrete is that unlike block paving, it is a solid surface with no expansion joints. With the weight of vehicles driving on and off the drive, it is only a matter of a few years before sinkages and cracking occurs. This can be resolved but retarmacing or concreting the section affected, but it is very noticeable and so the only real solution is to resurface the whole drive. Block paving We only recommend and install block paving because we want you to be 100% happy with the finished result and have a driveway that will stand the test of time. Block pavers are available in concrete and clay. Concrete bricks are cheaper but some people prefer to pay extra for clay bricks, which are more durable and look a little nicer on your finished driveway. Both concrete and clay bricks are maintenance free and resistant to staining (petrol, oil and acids). Clay bricks are also resistant to slipping, skidding and abrasion.
